Howdy there, I'm Aaron!
I’m set to graduate in June 2025, majoring in User Experience and User Interface at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
From a young age, I’ve had a creative mindset, always looking for ways to think outside the box. Growing up in Calgary, Alberta, I noticed that the local industry was heavily focused on oil, gas, and manual labor, with limited emphasis on technological innovation. Hence, my fascination with technology began early, as I was captivated by the endless possibilities computers had to offer.
I started playing sandbox video games, where I could express myself freely. One of the games that had a significant impact on me was Minecraft. It was one of the key influences that inspired me to get into design. I initially began creating servers using Linux, which I loved, but it lacked the visual design elements I was looking for. That's when one of my best friends introduced me to front-end development, which led me to discover UX/UI.
Now, I’m driven by a passion for creating intuitive, user-centered experiences. My journey in design has been shaped by hands-on learning, collaborative projects, and real-world experience.
